Gli Insetti Nell'Ambra are a guitar-bass-drums trio based in Paris. They are not Parisian, though. The singer is Italian (as a result, the lyrics are Italian) and the drummer is Japanese. Only the guitarist is French. They have been active in the Paris underground scene for a few years. Gli insetti nell'ambra, or insects in amber, are creatures preserved for millions of years in fossilized resin: they exist in geological time rather than in human time. They have been through psychedelic and garage rock, punk and post-punk, kraut-rock, alt-rock, post-rock... (Television, Pixies, P.I.L, DNA, Pop Group...) the title of their album, 2072, refers to the year when they plan to come back between us, already programmed in the control panel of their plutonium DeLorean.
